Prompt engineering is the art of being able to articulate with words exactly how your image should look like. It can contain details such as the style, background, objects, camera lens, year, or artists. For the purpose of this example, we will use the Real Engine.
Let's start with a specific objective in mind: A cup of coffee surrounded by mountains.
We start from the basic prompt of trying to generate coffee. Now, we can try to create a cup of coffee inside a cabin in the mountains.
Note how we're adding features that could be representative of the specific image we're trying to picture -cozy, cabin interior, photorealistic-. We can also incorporate camera settings to set the perspective. But, want it to be outside by a lake, and show mountains in the background.
The sunset is great, but we want to double down on the wooden table, which is currently not well-defined, and remove artifacts that should not be there, such as the text in the cup of coffee.
Notice how the milk or porcelain in the cup doesn't really make sense (it should be either transparent glass or porcelain. There's also a weird rock on the table, a beer that we don't want to appear, and a chair that is perhaps too long. The spoon also seems undefined so we may be better off removing it from the image
This looks much better but perhaps the spoons are not great and we still want to remove them, hence, we can include them in the negative prompt.
And there we have it! Here is our beautiful coffee by the mountains.
Use the following info as a reference to create better prompts:
Focus on clear and concise descriptions, with different concepts separated by commas, then follow them with any parameters. Parameters are not separated by commas.
Aim for rich and elaborate prompts: Provide ample detail to capture the essence of the desired image and use the examples below as a reference to craft intricate and comprehensive prompts which allow KreaAi to generate images with high accuracy and fidelity.
For photos, Incorporate relevant camera settings like focal length, aperture, ISO, & shutter speed. Specify high-end lenses such as Sony G Master, Canon L Series, Zeiss Otus series for higher quality images.
Exclude elements using the negative prompt option, listing all the unwanted elements to exclude them from the image, ensuring the final output aligns with your vision. Use this if there’s a high likelihood of something showing up in the image that we don’t want.
Diversify your prompts: Explore various styles, moods, colors, art mediums, and aspect ratios to create a wide range of visually appealing and unique images.
Medium: Define the materials that should be used to create the artwork.
Art Techniques: Mention specific techniques that can lead to distinct styles.
Composition and Framing: Clearly arrange and describe the visual elements and their placement in the artwork.
Style: State a distinctive manner or the style of a specific artist that should be followed.
Textures and Materials: Describe the perceived surface quality or material properties that the artwork should exhibit.
Scale and Proportions: Define the size of objects and the spatial relationships between them.
Lighting: Describe the arrangement of light, the light source, and its direction in the artwork.
Perspective and Depth of Field: Define the artistic technique for creating three dimensions on a flat surface and the range in focus.
Environment: Describe the surroundings or conditions where the subject of the artwork exists.
Setting and Time Era: State the place or historical context in which the art is set.
Weather and Season: Mention the atmospheric state or the season depicted in the artwork.
Cultural Context: Highlight any cultural environment or circumstances surrounding the creation.
Color: Mention the colors or dominant color palette that should be used, which can be used to evoke certain moods or create a narrative.
Subject: Clearly define the person, object, or space being depicted in the artwork.
Symbolism: Incorporate symbols to represent ideas or qualities.
Emotions and Expressions: Convey specific feelings or mindsets through the subjects in the artwork.
